| Essential Job Duties |
To assist in the day-to-day operation of the State Plant Disease and Insect Clinic. Specific duties will include logging incoming samples into the clinic database application, performing diagnostic assays (plating,
PPP; immunostrip, incubation, soil pH/EC determination, etc.) on plant samples as directed by diagnosticians, preparing agar media, replenishing supplies as used, washing glassware and plastic boxes, assisting with updating of the supplies inventory, and other duties as assigned. These positions will also share responsibilities for recording payments received and preparing checks for deposit with the
CALS Buisiness Office.
Work Schedule: The schedule for the position varies according to the workload in the Plant Disease and Insect Clinic. The anticipated workload is 15-19 hours per week May through August, about 10 hours per week in September, October, March, and April, and 5-10 hours per week November through February. |
