POSITION OVERVIEW:
Supports the assessment process for internal controls over financial reporting of FedEx Freight as required by Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 (SOX 404).

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advise departments on SOX compliance requirements and best practices.

Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact.

Assist in developing and updating compliance policies.

Conduct SOX compliance reviews and risk assessments.

Support internal and external audit processes.

Deliver training and awareness programs.

Prepares and makes regular SOX 404 and various financial reporting presentations.

Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master's degree and/or CPA preferred. .
  • Five (5) years' experience in public accounting, or accounting/internals control department at a public company.
  • Strong internal controls, financial reporting, and general accounting.
  • Strong organizational, project leadership, and communications skills.
