Overview

The Director, Sales Compensation Tooling & Data is responsible for theend-to-end strategy, delivery, and operational health of World Wide Incentive Compensation (WWIC's) tooling, data platforms, and seller facing experiences that enable accurate, timely, and scalable incentive compensation globally.

This role serves as the single accountable business owner for compensation tooling and data readiness across plan design, quota, metrics, earnings, payouts, and seller support experiences. The leader partners with Engineering, Finance, HR, RevOps, and Analytics to modernize platforms, reduce manual work, and improve seller trust and transparency.

This position plays a critical leadership role in WWIC's multiyear transformation agenda, including modernization of compensation systems, AI enabled experiences, and process simplification.

Why This Role Matters

This role is mission critical to WWIC's ability to execute compensation accurately at scale while modernizing the underlying platforms. The Director ensures sellers are paid correctly, leaders trust the system, and WWIC can evolve without increasing operational burden.



Responsibilities

Tooling & Platform Ownership

  • Own the business strategy and roadmap for WWIC tooling, including compensation systems, data platforms, and seller/leader experiences (e.g., MSX Earnings, reporting, and support tools).
  • Act as the primary business interface to Engineering, setting priorities, defining requirements, managing tradeoffs, and aligning delivery to fiscal timelines.
  • Ensure tooling solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned to global WWIC operating models.

Data & Systems Readiness

  • Own end-to-end data readiness for incentives, including metrics registration, feasibility assessment, downstream consumption, and payout integrity. toend data readiness
  • Partner with Finance, Planning, and Analytics teams to validate data sources, dependencies, and support models.
  • Drive reduction of manual workarounds through automation, validation tooling, and improved data architecture.

Seller & Leader Experience

  • Champion the seller and leader experience for incentives, focusing on clarity, transparency, and reduced friction.
  • Partner with Change Management and Enablement teams to ensure tooling changes are landed effectively and supported with clear guidance.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex tooling, data, and payout issues with high business impact.

Transformation & Modernization Leadership

  • Lead major transformation initiatives across tooling, AI/agents, and process modernization in support of WWIC's FY26-FY28 roadmap.
  • Drive prioritization across competing initiatives, balancing nearterm fiscal execution with longterm platform health.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across MCAPS, Finance, HR, and Engineering on modernization strategy and sequencing.

People & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Lead and develop a highimpact team of PMs, ICs, and crossfunctional partners.
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to WWIC leadership on tooling, data, and execution risks.

Build strong crossteam partnerships across WWIC, RevOps, Engineering, Finance, and HR.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field AND 10+ years experience in compensation, business management and operations, finance and analytics, human resources and people analytics, marketing, or sales strategy OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in sales compensation, revenue operations, finance systems, or enterprise tooling/data platforms.
  • Experience leading large, crossfunctional programs with complex dependencies and senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with incentive compensation mechanics, metrics, quotas, payouts, and seller operations.
  • Businesstoengineering partnership experience (requirements, prioritization, delivery governance).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous, highchange environments and drive clarity and execution.
  • Experience with global compensation systems and fiscalyear execution models.
  • Background in data platforms, analytics, or financial systems supporting large sales organizations.
  • Experience driving platform modernization or transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with AIenabled tooling or automation in enterprise operations.
  • 7+ years' experience working in a large or highly matrixed organization, preferably in the technology industry.
  • 5+ years of program leadership/management experience.
  • People management experience.


Sales Compensation M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
