Silgan Closures, a Fortune 500 global manufacturer and leader in sustainable packaging, is hiring a Maintenance Technician I / Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Champaign, Illinois manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for an experienced industrial maintenance mechanic with hands-on expertise supporting highspeed injection molding and compression molding equipment in a manufacturing environment.

What We Offer:

• Hourly pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Shift differential: +$1.00 per hour for night shift
• Shift: 12-hour night shift, 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM
• Schedule: 223 rotation with every other weekend off (Friday-Sunday)
• Sign-on bonus: $1,500

What You Will Do:

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Mechanic, you will:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair injection molding and compression molding machinery
• Maintain auxiliary equipment, production systems, and facility infrastructure
• Minimize downtime by responding to equipment breakdowns in a highspeed manufacturing environment
• Repair and rebuild spare parts using hand tools, precision measuring devices, blueprints, and schematics
• Work collaboratively with Team Leads, Quality Assurance Technicians, Process Technicians (PTMs), Molders, Lining Technicians, and Printer Technicians
• Enter, track, and close work orders using EAM / CMMS maintenance management software
• Maintain equipment and workspaces in compliance with GMP, Food Safety, HACCP, and plant safety standards
• Assist with general facility and grounds maintenance, including snow removal as needed

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3 + years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or maintenance mechanic experience
• Proven ability to perform mechanical maintenance tasks to quality and safety standards
• Experience working with heavy-duty industrial equipment in manufacturing or production settings
• Ability to work independently on night shifts in a fast-paced environment
