Job Title: Material Handling Operator 2 Location(s): Wichita, KS Position Summary Responsible for end-to-end goods receipt, storage, inventory control, order assembly, packaging, and dispatch activities within a warehouse or logistics environment. Ensures accurate material handling, compliance with shipping and safety standards, and proper documentation within enterprise systems. Applies established procedures to resolve routine and moderately varied operational issues. Key Responsibilities Goods Receipt & Inspection
- Receive incoming materials and verify against shipping documentation (material number, description, quantity).
- Inspect goods for visible damage; document discrepancies and escalate as required.
- Ensure accurate system entry of inbound materials in relevant ERP or warehouse management systems.
Material Handling & Storage
- Operate transport equipment (e.g., hand-guided industrial trucks, forklifts) in accordance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate storage, commissioning, and internal movement of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock placement.
- Conduct regular stock maintenance and participate in physical inventory counts.
Order Fulfillment & Dispatch
- Assemble outbound deliveries from storage locations based on delivery notes.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of materials (quantity, article number, condition).
- Package goods according to shipping instructions, regulatory requirements (including Dangerous Goods, where applicable), and standard dispatch methods.
- Prepare and attach required shipping documentation to outgoing goods.
- Coordinate internal and, where applicable, external transport activities.
Decision-Making & Problem Solving
- Applies established procedures and selects appropriate methods within defined guidelines.
- Resolves routine and moderately varied operational issues independently.
- Addresses unexpected situations by adapting standard processes to ensure continuity of operations.
Qualifications & Experience Education / Training

Completed 3-year vocational training in logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, or related field.
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of practical experience in warehouse, logistics, production, or similar operational environment.
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and material handling procedures.
- Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems (data entry, stock updates, shipping documentation).
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely (forklift certification preferred where applicable).
- Understanding of packaging standards and transport regulations.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-resolution capability.
