Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Student Digital Services, the Principal Producer (PP) assumes supervisory responsibilities for music production and residential video operations sponsored through the UCLA Residential Life (RL). In addition to the listed responsibilities, the (PP) will provide guidance, coordination, and advice for production implementation, along with oversight of the inventory, storage, maintenance, and management of Learning Center Studio production equipment, and address staff personnel issues.

Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in multimedia production. (Preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. (Required)
  • Ability to act professionally and work effectively in a university setting. (Required)
  • Skill in supervising and training student employees. (Required)
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships across diverse groups. (Required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and networked computer systems. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge and hands-on ability with music, audio-visual, and multimedia production equipment. (Required)
  • Experience in video production, recording, editing, multi-camera/live switch, and content export. (Required)
  • Proficiency with production software (Final Cut, ProTools, Logic, Ableton, GarageBand). (Preferred)
  • Project management experience in designing and supervising AV installations. (Preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with audio/photo/video equipment. (Required)
  • Skill in analyzing production needs and developing original multimedia content. (Preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to flexible work schedules. (Required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

  • Bachelor's Degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. (Required)

  • Special Conditions for Employment
