As the QA/QC Site Supervisor, you'll embed with project crews nationwide, lead inspectors, shape quality culture, and be the trusted voice that ensures every weld, connection, and process meets the highest standard.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee field inspection activities across industrial project sites.
  • Maintain a consistent presence on job sites to observe work progress, verify compliance, and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Monitor adherence to safety practices as they relate to quality, ensuring proper procedures and safe execution of inspection and testing activities.
  • Ensure inspections are completed in alignment with project plans, specifications, approved procedures, and all applicable codes and regulations.
  • Interpret technical requirements, drawings, and specifications to effectively guide inspection efforts.
  • Communicate quality expectations, findings, and requirements clearly and professionally to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Verify that materials, methods, and workmanship meet contract, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Provide quality-related leadership, guidance, and support to project managers, supervisors, and field teams. Promote a strong quality culture and reinforce consistent adherence to QA/QC processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality and inspection matters with project teams, clients, and regulatory representatives.
  • Escalate noncompliant or unsafe conditions and collaborate with site leadership to resolve them promptly.
  • Maintain well-organized quality documentation for audits, client reviews, and regulatory inspections.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of inspection reports, checklists, and test records.
  • Track, report, and analyze quality metrics, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
  • Identify, document, and investigate quality issues and nonconforming work, recommending and verifying corrective and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and bestpractice sharing across projects and locations.
  • Coach and mentor field inspectors and project personnel on quality standards and inspection requirements.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing training related to QA/QC procedures, documentation, and regulatory standards.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions with clients, regulators, and partners.
  • Ensure all QA/QC activities align with the company's mission, values, and ethical standards.
  • Actively participate in companywide programs, policies, and initiatives that support organizational improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field of study, OR four years or more of industrial or commercial related experience.
  • Five years or more of experience as a supervisor or project leader in industrial, manufacturing, or a related field, with a strong background in ISO 9001 quality management or equivalent quality systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of construction equipment, construction techniques, and the interpretation of drawings and specifications. Able to read and understand technical documents and symbols and apply this information effectively.
  • Professional working knowledge of NDE practices, welding processes, and materials, including familiarity with NQA1 and ASME codes (e.g., B31.3, B31.5, and B31.8).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, Project, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate work to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong customer service abilities.
  • Ability to successfully pass background checks required for Department of Energy, Federal, and Military facilities.


Certifications:



  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or ability to obtain for the role.


Other Details:



  • This role will be officed out of Duluth, MN and requires the ability to travel up to 75% of the time to local, regional, and national job sites on a frequent basis.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with no restrictions and remain in good standing in accordance with company driving policy.
  • All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of all required preemployment screenings in accordance with Company policy.


Compensation & Benefits:



  • The expected annual compensation range for this position is $67,700-$101,500. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
