Ramboll is accepting applications for the Summer 2026 internship program at our office located in Oakland, California. Each participant will be assigned a mentor who will guide them through project assignments. The program will provide internship participants with the opportunity to gain experience working in one or more practice areas. Our goal is to afford our interns experience with a variety of projects during the summer program to broaden their understanding an experience within their field of interest.

Job Description

Ramboll is seeking a Site Solutions Intern to join our team for a summer internship focused on scientific-based environmental consulting. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in site assessment, remediation, and environmental problem-solving while working alongside experienced consultants.

The intern will support a variety of projects in a fast-paced, variable environment that blends detail-oriented independent work with team collaboration. This is an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills, build industry knowledge, and explore a career in environmental consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with environmental site assessments, data collection, and documentation

  • Support field and office-based project activities, including sampling preparation and coordination

  • Compile, review, and organize technical data and reports

  • Conduct research and assist with analysis related to environmental regulations and site conditions

  • Collaborate with project teams to support remediation and site development efforts

  • Maintain accurate records while following Ramboll's quality, safety, and sustainability standards

Qualifications

Qualifications

Research and analysis on environmental science, data and policy

  • Evaluating and tabulating data for inclusion in technical reports
  • Performing statistical and geospatial analysis of soil and groundwater quality data
  • Participating on project teams, evaluating remediation and environmental control technologies, and developing plans for site remediation

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an hourly rate between $22 and $25 per hour. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits
