General Job Description: The Tool Crib Attendant III is responsible for managing and issuing tools, equipment, and supplies to manufacturing and maintenance personnel. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition, and providing support to ensure efficient operations with the tool crib. Supervises: N/A Essential Duties & Responsibilities Tool Issuance and Return:
- Issue tools, equipment, and supplies to authorized personnel
- Record tool issuance and returns accurately in the inventory management system
- Inspect tools and equipment for damage upon return and report any issues to the supervisor
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of tool crib inventory, including quantities and locations
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Assist in ordering new tools and supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels
Tool Maintenance and Repairs
- Inspect tools and equipment regularly to ensure they are in good working condition
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for major repairs and servicing
Tool Crib Organization
- Keep the tool crib clean, organized, and safe
- Label and store tools and equipment in designated locations
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols within the tool crib area
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and personnel
- Assist users with locating tools and equipment as needed
- Address any issues or concerns promptly and escalate to the supervisor as necessary
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tool crib activities
- Generate reports on tool usage, inventory levels, and any discrepancies
- Assist in the development and implementation of tool crib procedures and policies
Position Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience in a tool crib, warehouse or inventory management role preferred
- Skills: Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of tools and equipment
- Proficient in using inventory management systems and basic computer applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed

Hours: This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs Travel: N/A Competitive Wages: $26.92/hr to $33.65/hour.
