Job Description:

This position works a hybrid rotation schedule. 2-3 days in office and 2 days work from home each week.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The ideal Sales Development Representative (SDR) has a strong desire to uncover the needs of the member or prospects, excels at outbound calling, can start new relationships, meticulously follows the sales process and can successfully close the sale. They should be a quick learner with strong communication skills, and have the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Understands that every interaction is an opportunity to help our members attain financial success while achieving the desired member acquisition levels, and profitability.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Represent our company's products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and using proper interviewing techniques to identify how our solutions best meet the member's needs Be an educator that can leverage insights to assist solving real financial problems our members may encounter Find ways to help our members engage and deepen their relationships Generate sales, primarily in lending, by working leads provided, uncovering additional opportunities, continuous follow-up and knowing how to close the deal. Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects/members and engage for next steps based on their needs or timeline Have the skills necessary to handle difficult conversations and responses from members while remaining driven and positive. Identify best practices to refine the company's lead generation playbook Utilize CRM, calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities Identify prospect/member's needs and suggest appropriate products/services Help our members build long-term trusting relationships with Virginia Credit Union. Perform basic calculations to provide members and prospects with accurate financial information necessary to make informed decisions Educate our members on our digital solutions and ways to self-service Proactively seek prospect opportunities through member interactions Support the on-boarding process and our frontline prospect generating departments Setup new memberships, open new accounts, refer sales leads to our partners Provide expert advice in the area of lending with the ability to get the application and monitor until closed The ability to multitask frequently and in many instances update records in our systems while conversing with members. Responsible for ensuring that business goals and individual member service and sales goals are consistently met.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

Strong communication skills via phone and email Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization

Abilities:

Sound judgment Ability to handle difficult situations Ability to handle multiple tasks

Minimum Education and Experience:

Least 5 years of relevant work experience 2-3 years of sales experience, with a history of exceeding sales targets Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Some college education or business courses preferred Customer/member service experience, preferably at a financial institution

Must be able to be actively registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
