Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive the successful delivery of a unified AI solution which is seamlessly integrated across our Lenovo/Motorola devices and customer segments. As a TPM, you will serve as a bridge between multiple technical teams, product management, and stakeholders, operating in a fast-paced, globally distributed company. Crucially, this role requires a strong technical foundation - the ability to understand and articulate complex technical details is essential for effective communication and problem-solving with our engineering and product management teams. You will be responsible for program planning, execution, risk management, and communication, ultimately ensuring we deliver high-quality AI solutions on time. Responsibilities:

  • Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and stakeholders, to drive project delivery.
  • Understand the big-picture and the system level to answer questions and clarify requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, progress, and issues.
  • Track project metrics, identify deviations from plans, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, software development, or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, technical architectures, and industry trends, with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts related to AI.
  • Proven experience with project management tools, techniques, and methodologies (e.g. Agile).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP or another project management certification is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $165,000 - $195,000. Individuals will also eligible for a 12% annual performance bonus. This role will join us at our Chicago, IL location on a hybrid schedule onsite 3 days/week. Lenovo's various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
