Are you a Traveling Superintendent looking for stability, good pay and a dedicated team?
Our client is a well-established, respected and constantly growing building full-service commercial construction company with decades of experience doing everything from pre-construction to post-construction. Their clients come from a wide range of industries including hospitality, retail, multifamily and corporate. They have a have a stellar reputation for always exceeding the expectations of their clients and they do a fantastic job of keeping their employees happy and busy!

Currently they are looking to bring on board another Superintendent with experience working on retail and or restaurant projects and willing to travel to project sites regularly.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the field staff and deploy the project strategy.
  • Create, update and maintain an accurate project schedule which includes all aspects of scheduling (phasing, logistics, etc.) and that encompasses all phases and key milestones from pre-construction to turnover.
  • Research and address owner and building rules and regulations, permit procedures and any other requirements, and ensure compliance.
  • Supervise all field operations ensuring that the work is being done in accordance with the project strategy and construction documents, and that Subcontractor performance and quality of work meet company standards for customer satisfaction.
  • Daily site walk-through to monitor construction progress, quality control and site safety.
  • Adhere to and promote safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe jobsite.
  • Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors; treat them fairly and professionally in all interactions and set an example for others to do the same.
  • Develop punch list and ensure timely, thorough execution; obtain sign-off from client.
  • Inspire, coach and mentor assigned field staff members.
Requirements:
  • National travel required
  • 5+ years project supervision experience in restaurant and/or retail environments, including renovation, ground up construction, flagship stores, retail chains, fine dining, fast casual restaurants.
  • History of meeting challenging deadlines
  • Extensive knowledge of scheduling, cost control and safety procedures
  • Ability to manage and train assigned staff
  • Computer skills - Procore, Microsoft Project and Microsoft products.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
