Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong General Ledger experience and a proven track record of owning the month-end close process. This role is heavily focused on preparing journal entries, performing detailed account reconciliations, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records in accordance with GAAP. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured corporate environment and is comfortable managing multiple entities, recurring entries, and financial reporting deadlines. Essential Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Month-End Close (Primary Focus)
- Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, prepaids, recurring entries, and adjustments
- Perform detailed monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate variances
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data prior to close
- Maintain supporting documentation for all GL activity
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support parent-company reporting (BPC packages)
- Prepare audit schedules and assist with internal and external audit requests
- Assist with investment and equity income analysis
- Support annual and semi-annual business plan reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- 3+ years of hands-on General Ledger accounting experience
- Strong experience with:
- Journal entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Account analysis
- Full-cycle month-end close
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data analysis)
- ERP system experience required (Great Plains or Syteline a plus)
- CPA preferred but not required

- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data
- analysis).
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and optimize software tools and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
WORK ENVIRNMENT:
- Monday - Friday on site
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Pay range: $70,000-$80,000
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists in special accounting projects, as needed.
