The Printed Circuit Board business is an important and key part of Sanmina's overall strategy with the PCB business expected to continue playing a major role in driving the company's overall financial success. Sanmina traces its origins back to the founding of the company in 1980 in the PCB Business.

Job Summary:

The Vice President of PCB Sales, Aerospace & Defense will be a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for driving significant growth within the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) sector. This role requires a proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with A&D customers, identify new business opportunities, and lead a high-performing sales team to achieve ambitious revenue growth targets. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the A&D market, PCB and electronics technology, and relevant industry regulations.

Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Sales Leadership:

    Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to expand market share and achieve revenue goals within the A&D segment for the PCB Division.

    Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the A&D PCB sector to identify opportunities and inform strategic planning.
  • Business Development and Customer Relationship Management:

    Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with key A&D clients, leveraging a strong understanding of their needs and Sanmina's PCB current capabilities and technology direction.

    Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective A&D customers, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership:

    Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing A&D sales team, setting clear performance objectives and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

    Ensure strict adherence to all industry regulations and compliance requirements, including FAR, DFAR, ITA, and AS9100 standards.
  • Proposal Development and Financial Management:

    Oversee the development and presentation of compelling proposals and contracts that align with customer requirements and company objectives. Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and achieve financial targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with the PCB leadership team, and partner with engineering, operations, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer projects, technology / product development.




Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive sales and business development experience in the A&D sector, with a strong focus on Printed Circuit Board technology, Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), and/or Electronics.
  • Proven track record of achieving significant sales growth and exceeding revenue targets in the A&D markets.
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic account management and complex contract negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of A&D procurement processes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ITAR, FAR, DFAR, AS9100).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • US Citizenship is required

Salary Range (annual) : $180,000.00 - $234,000.00

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
