AOI/5DX Programmer

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for supporting AOI/5DX equipment in our electronic manufacturing plant in Carrollton, TX.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities



  • Creates and maintains programs for the AOI, AXI and SPI equipment
  • Develops and maintains other AOI/5DX related processes, writes profiles and monitors equipment lines to ensure proper program performance, process efficiency, and ongoing quality
  • Works with production, engineering and machine operators to maintain equipment and to ensure efficient operation of work centers to meet production schedules
  • Performs customer specified modifications to programs (ECOs)
  • Troubleshoots process / equipment problems and fault corrections
  • Other duties as required



Education and Experience




  • Associate's Degree / 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4 years of experience supporting AOI/5DX Programming team
  • Understanding of the Production environment
  • Ability to work under deadlines (Programs, ECO)
  • Detail-oriented, fast learner
  • Able to read drawings and other written documents
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Good organization and documentation skills
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience
  • Has willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent punctuality, good attendance, and reliability required
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed



Physical Demands

Required to sit and/or stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
