In this role, you will provide professional engineering services and leadership for the Liquids Pipelines (LP) business unit in the US & Canada. You will apply engineering knowledge and experience to design, develop, coordinate, and communicate effective solutions and guidance to LP internal and external partners with a focus on safe, reliable, and profitable operation of Enbridge assets.

What Will You Do:

  • Facilitate and lead troubleshooting and rootcause analysis for mechanical equipment issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Identify and lead the adoption of innovative technologies, including the assessment of new equipment, vendors, and solutions to enhance performance and reliability.

  • Own Enbridge engineering standards and specifications to ensure compliance, safety, reliability, and cost competitiveness.

  • Recommend predictive and preventive maintenance practices based on Asset Health and Reliability Engineering (AHRE) analysis to ensure reliable operation and improve overall equipment efficiency.

  • Collaborate with regional staff to provide engineering expertise and solutions for operational issues, such as failure analyses and incident investigations, and offer recommendations to improve reliability and ensure safe operations.

  • Identify systemwide reliability and performance improvement opportunities, conduct gap analyses, identify reliability risks and work with stakeholders to determine and implement solutions.

  • Provide engineering expertise throughout project life cycle on capital projects or programs.

  • Provide mentoring and training for members within Operations Engineering.

Who You Are:

  • Completion of a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college.

  • Currently registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA if located in Alberta. Registered as a PE in the US if located in the US.

  • A minimum of six years of experience in mechanical engineering roles in the oil and gas industry.

  • Experience with a range of mechanical equipment types (e.g., mainline pumps, valves, HVAC) is preferred.

  • VCAT-II or VCAT-III Vibration Analyst certifications is an asset.

  • Knowledgeable with regulatory and industry codes/standards for the oil and gas industry in the US and Canada.

  • Effective interpersonal skills, which includes both verbal and written communication.

  • Role requires a valid driver's license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

  • Requires a valid passport to travel and work between the US and Canada.

Working Conditions:

  • Office based role.

  • 10-15% of travel to other Enbridge office and field locations.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

US Only Summary:

Salary: $96,200 - $140,000/year USD
