Responsibilities

Sentinel is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team. This position is for a generalist skill-set where the successful candidate is capable of multi-product/multi-technology customer designs. The ideal candidate for this position is not a subject matter expert in every technology listed, but rather a person with a flexible approach to project design and development, and a willingness to adopt and adjust to new technologies and industry trends. This position is a hybrid role as the person will need to provide onsite support to our Grand Rapids, MI office location and clients in this geographic area.

A Solutions Architect at Sentinel:

    Maintains Subject Matter Expertise in at least 2 (usually more) technology, architecture, or delivery platforms and can produce multi-technology architectures.
  • Responsible to diagram/white board/sketch technology discussions live and "on the fly" with customers and peers.
  • Effectively leads discovery discussions with customers to define project scope.
  • Presents technology briefings to both sales and customer audiences focusing discussion on specific needs of different groups.
  • Author detailed, technically accurate professional services scopes of work. These scopes include: customer requirements, project caveats, customer and VAR roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist sales team with demand generation, opportunity qualification, and completion of sales cycle.
  • Build solution and technology accurate Bills of Materials for customer projects across 4 or more manufacturer or technology areas, including ongoing service and support SKUs.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in information technology fields is required.
  • 4+ years experience working with Value-added Resellers, Systems Integrators, or Technology Manufacturers is required
  • IT Certifications such as CCNA (EN or S), CCNP (EN or S), VCP, PSE-Professional, PCNSE, NSE4, MS-101, or equivalent, are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in addition to the ability to develop social bonds and build EQ is required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to address technical audiences and IT leadership.
  • Must have demonstrated experience designing and architecting premise network, security, and data center products from multiple manufacturers. e. Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Dell/EMC, HPE preferred.
  • Must be able to compare/contrast offerings between multiple manufacturers.
  • Experience scoping professional services for project delivery.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude
