Job Description

The Events & Rentals Specialist - DFH Hospitality is the champion of specialty guest experiences at the DFH Hospitality locations in Delaware (Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, Chesapeake & Maine, Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen and Dogfish INN). The role reports to Manager, Local Marketing and Experiential, and is accountable for planning and executing events and happenings that win the hearts and minds of our drinkers and coworkers, with an overall goal of supporting our national brand initiatives, increasing traffic to our locations, and driving revenue for our locations. This role partners with hospitality managers at the DE locations and the hospitality marketing team in order to achieve results.

What You'll Brew:



  • Responsible for managing and communicating the calendar of guest experiences at the DFH locations including private rentals, VIP/wholesaler experiences, and supporting the hospitality marketing team with festivals, events and programming
  • Leader of the rental program for all Dogfish Head Delaware locations
  • Responsible for booking and upselling private parties/weddings/corporate events, etc. and coordinating with on-site managers for execution
  • Responsible for strategic pricing structures and package offerings for private rentals across locations
  • Collaborating with on-site culinary teams on F&B menus and on-site managers for event layout and run of shows
  • Collecting and analyzing key data and insights to drive strategic recommendations in order to drive top-line growth for our our DFH Hospitality locations.
  • Providing world-class customer service for our private party bookings including walkthroughs, securing details, contracts and payment
  • Collaborating with the hospitality marketing team to develop marketing materials for private rentals aimed at increased revenue via outreach. Responsible for private party booking info on dogfish.com
  • Presence on-site for bookings as needed
  • Lead contact for VIP/wholesaler experiences for all Dogfish Head Delaware locations
  • Coordinating and communicating with BBC sales team coworkers on visits for VIPs/wholesalers including securing details, payment, reservations at DFH locations, etc.
  • Conducting private tours at the brewery as needed for VIPs/wholesalers
  • Set up as needed for experiences including tour coordination, reservations, swag, transportation coordinating, etc.
  • Collaborating and supporting the hospitality marketing team with festivals, events and programming throughout the Dogfish Head locations including planning and execution
  • Collaborating and supporting the hospitality marketing team as needed in general with the overall goal of driving guest traffic
  • Leading marketing responsibilities and projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience
  • 3 years of event experience
  • Strong project management knowledge & experience
  • Skilled at multitasking and working on various projects at the same time
  • Ability to use experience to make solid judgment calls
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • Highly organized, flexible, self-motivated, and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Experienced negotiator with proven experience of finding creative solutions to problems
  • Ability to work independently or cross functionally through team collaboration


Level: 7
At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $52,000 - $102,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
