Overview

Verathon is looking for a Senior Manager of Product Marketing to become the newest member of our Urology scopes team located in Bothell. Verathon is a global medical device company currently experiencing tremendous growth. We are the market leader in two key areas: airways and urology. Our GlideScope video laryngoscopy and BFlex bronchoscopy solutions in addition to our BladderScan ultrasound systems effectively address unmet needs for healthcare providers and meaningfully raise the standard of care for patients.

You will be responsible for leading and executing product planning and product management activities. In partnership with the Business Unit GM, you will support the development and execution of the overall multi-year product strategy. You will guide your product marketing team in global product development initiatives including market assessments, market models, business cases, and pricing strategies. You will work with your team, customers, engineers, finance, sales, and the executive team to understand the market, identify latent needs, define product requirements for compelling, differentiated products, optimize the portfolio, and execute Verathon's strategic product launch plans.

Success will be determined by the ability of the Senior Manager of Product Marketing to build a high performing team, hiring top talent and an AI-first mindset driving internal efficiency. Developing a product roadmap where the sources of differentiation are clear and compelling, and the ability of the Senior Manager, in partnership with product development, to execute against that roadmap will be a critical success factor.

Responsibilities

* Play a key role on the Urology leadership team, advising product strategy and priorities to support the overall business unit strategy.
* Provide input to the multi-year business strategy to support profitable growth.
* In partnership with the GM, contribute to market segmentation, market size and growth analysis, and market selection.
* In partnership with finance and the GM, contribute to the business unit market model that tracks TAM, SAM, and market share.
* Contribute to the product strategy and identify new product opportunities in line with BU strategy
* Owns developing the product roadmap that includes AI enabled differentiators, in partnership with product development, based on strategic priorities and resources.
* Execute against the roadmap, working closely with Product Development, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing.
* Support the GM in the analysis of strategic business development opportunities.
* Develop strong understanding of global customer environments through voice-of-the-customer analyses.
* Translate understanding into market and user needs that address most important requirements and result in market leading, differentiated products.
* Develop core competitive differentiation, value propositions, pricing and positioning strategies.
* Ensure successful and efficient marketing campaigns
* Support the creation of marketing material development by conveying the value proposition for target segments
* Attain deep understanding of the market, customers, channels, competitors, technologies, and industry standards to provide market segmentation and analysis
* Drive collaboration and alignment with the core project teams on the design input requirements for new products.
* Identify gaps in our customer / market knowledge and propose alternative methods including AI tools for data collection, including leading market research where needed.
* Lead the development and nurturing of new KOL relationships.
* Provide leadership, on-going development and mentoring to staff to attract, retain and motivate a top performing team.



Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field; MBA preferred
* A minimum of 10 years of product planning, product management, or relevant experience

* 4+ years of experience in a people leadership role.

* Candidate must be able to financially model the business and make proposals and recommendations that are fact-based and quantitative
* Ability to translate and convincingly communicate data into actionable information
* Proven ability to work in a matrix environment and influence others
* Expert level experience in product development, pricing strategy, and competitive positioning
* Strong experience in a regulated industry, preferably Medical Devices
* Strong knowledge of clinical applications and hospital economics across global geographies
* Strong aptitude towards leadership and people management

Salary range - $160,708.00 - $205,048.00 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).

Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon's annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
