We have an opportunity for a remote Physician Insurance Specialist II on our AMA Insurance team.

As a Physician Insurance Specialist II, you will represent AMA Insurance to physicians & physician practices, generating sales through inbound and outbound calls and have a keen understanding of physicians' insurance needs; with an emphasis on medical liability insurance. You will work closely with our insurance carrier partners to generate quotes and bind coverage, build the AMA's relationship with insurance clients, and facilitate processes leading to accepted applications and payments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Support

  • Meet and exceed sales targets by educating potential customers and supporting the sales & application process
  • Responsible for following up on all Agency provided leads, contacting clients through email and outbound calling; and for documenting and tracking all client interactions in our approved CRM software
  • Follow up on new leads / referrals resulting from calls, events, webinars and marketing activities
  • Periodic travel to attend industry conferences and trade shows, staff booth, make presentations, network, and promote / sell Agency's products and services
  • Select days, times, and communication channels most likely to reach potential customers; prioritize leads by quality and/or size of opportunity
  • Develop and maintain talking points, FAQs, responses to common objections, and other sales materials to educate physicians and their families on our products and services and our advantages vs. competition
  • Through inbound and outbound calls, make product recommendations meeting customer needs
  • Post-sale, ensure client satisfaction; identify and close cross-sell and upsell opportunities

Customer & Application Tracking

  • Track customers and applications throughout the application process
  • Prepare quotes and applications in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate contract terms as required by industry regulations and AMAI policies
  • Follow up with customers and underwriter after initial application to ensure any missing or additional data is provided, and to ensure underwriters accept applications and customers can make payments
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including lead generation, sales calls, applications provided, and closed sales via use of a designated technology

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent required
  2. 3+ years demonstrated successful experience in tele-sales or other sales roles with a focus on professional medical liability insurance; experience with other lines of insurance a plus
  3. Must have demonstrated knowledge with professional medical liability insurance products offered to the medical community, knowledge of life, disability, long-term care insurance a plus
  4. Must be licensed (property & casualty insurance) and appointed in accordance with insurance laws and regulations in the state(s) of operation as defined by the Agency
  5. Strong ability to persuade potential customers of the value of products and services, including demonstrated ability to initiate, advance, and close sales
  6. Goal oriented, with proven sales track record of achieving sales quotas
  7. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials, including letters, proposals and contract documents
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to develop relationships, especially in customer relations and internally with forecasting and reporting results
  9. Able to work a flexible schedule with occasional evening and weekend hours
  10. Must have access to a home-based workstation located in a room with a door to avoid distractions; must also have access to an internet connection and phone service
  11. Must be able to use Microsoft Office and SalesForce software

The pay range for this position in Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Wisconsin. is $68,666-$91,035. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
