SITE lead BB&E is an employee-owned full service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, which services both the Federal and Industrial sectors throughout the United States. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors. Position SummaryBB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Site Lead forBB&E's NASA Johnson Space Center located in Houston, TX. The Site Lead will provide the planning, coordination, technical direction, and surveillance of the program team and activities necessary to ensure disciplined performance of work and timely application of resources for the accomplishment of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Maintain communication with the NASA environmental division and inform the Contracting Officer (CO) and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) immediately of any problems that would prevent meeting established performance standards. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements Key Qualifications* U.S. Citizenship is required * Ability to successfully pass a federal agency background check is required. * Knowledge:
o Professional registration and/or certifications in fields of expertise preferred. * Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. * Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. * Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to solve problems and function as a member of a team. Experience & Education* Experience: Fifteen (15) plus years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 10 years of managing projects, contracts, funds, and resources and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Environmental Compliance Restoration. NASA, Department of Defense or other government project management experience is required * Certification and Training: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Management training, DOT Hazmat Employee training, and a minimum of 24 hours of OSHA HAZWOPER training. * Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in environmental science, engineering, or in a related field is required.
