As a Hardware Design Engineer Co-Op at Supermicro, you'll join our server hardware design team and help support the development and validation of GPU-accelerated server platforms used in AI and HPC systems. You'll get real hands-on exposure to how complex computer systems are built - from high-speed interfaces and power delivery to thermal and mechanical design considerations.

What You'll Learn:

By the end of the Co-Op, you'll gain experience in:

• GPU server and system-level hardware design
• High-speed interfaces like PCIe and system interconnects
• Power delivery and reliability considerations
• Hardware validation and root-cause debugging
• Professional engineering documentation and communication

What We're Looking For:

Required:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering or a related field
• Interest in computer hardware, servers, GPUs, or AI systems
• Willingness to learn and work hands-on in a lab environment
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Preferred:

• Coursework in circuits, digital systems, or computer architecture
• Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer)
• Basic scripting or data analysis experience
• Prior hardware projects, clubs, or internships

$30/hr

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
