Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Manifest Specialist As a Manifest Specialist you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining manifest documentation, labels and placards for shipment and handling of waste materials.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Maintains complete, accurate and accessible manifest records; prepares manifest documents, labels and placards
  • Reviews manifest order forms for correct DOT, EPA and State regulations regarding the shipment and handling of waste materials; maintains a <2% error rate on manifest packets
  • Prepares shipping labels for outgoing sample kits for Customer Experience and Sales personnel; provides appropriate contact with relevant shipping information
  • Utilizes the most cost-effective methods to send documentation packets, prioritizing orders to ensure prompt delivery
  • Maintains inventory for all material needed for manifest packets and job functions including creating shipping labels for other departments; performs inventory checks weekly utilizing specialized inventory resources and tracking approaches
  • Maintains all supplies in an organized manner; stores all inventory appropriately within two business days of delivery
  • Coordinates with internal and external customers to solve issues with accurate and timely service; notifies appropriate Customer Experience contact of pending alerts on stops prior to distributing documentation
  • Partners with leadership to develop system and process improvements as needed
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization


Education

- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)


Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a professional office environment (preferred)
  • Previous experience working within customer service and administration, with experience with Federal and State hazardous waste regulations (preferred)
