As part of theCO+I Carbon-Free Energy Team, you will join a team of professionals responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and executing contracts for strategic carbon-free energy projects. The candidate will join the team delivering impactful results for Microsoft's global carbon-free energy and datacenter growth strategy. Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation seeksanewCarbon-Free Energy: Portfolio Analyst, focused on delivering Microsoft's global carbon-free energy strategy. This role is primarily focused on the AMER region with additional EMEA and APAC market engagement. The candidate will support procurement of physical and financial carbon-free energy contract negotiations, including integration into direct datacenter energy supply. This role requires industry experience (which may include development, origination, asset management, trading, etc) in carbon-free energy markets. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage internal and external relationships and knowledge of current energy development requirements, to achieve impactful and timely results. The role will work closely with the leadership team to deliver Microsoft's global carbon-free strategy. The candidate will have a advance interest in carbon-free energy projects and energy markets. The candidate will need to understand Microsoft's unique position and goals in the energy sector. This necessitates that the candidate brings an innovative, collaborative presence to support delivery of major initiatives to realize business goals, lower costs, and meet sustainability targets. Sourcing Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
