Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) has an immediate opening for a Principal Corporate Counsel attorney to join the US Public Sector Industries Team, which takes pride in their collaboration, learning, energy, and relationship building with business leaders and customers. This role will primarily support the Microsoft Federal business organization in legal, policy, compliance, regulatory and other issues related to the U.S. Government's purchase of Microsoft's portfolio of software, cloud computing (Software as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service), devices, and professional services (product support and consulting). In this role, you will work with cross functional teams to enable strategic relationships with Microsoft's most important customers while working on cutting-edge issues related to cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and similar technologies at the intersection of technology, business, and the law. Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Legal Counsel IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $132,200 - $232,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,800 - $248,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
