Position Summary:

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining high levels of sanitation by accurately and efficiently completing cleaning assignments in the pot room and kitchen. Demonstrates appropriate work habits, behavior and communication skills at all times



Education:



  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be literate to the extent of reading and understanding printed menus.
  • Food service experience requested but not required.



Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Accurately clean and sanitize all pots and pans and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Effectively work in the different stations in the pot room as assigned.
  • Effectively carry out all cleaning assignments in the department.
  • Accurate completion and recording of all pot room temperatures.
  • Dump garbage, recyclables and cardboard according to regulations as needed.
  • Complete special cleaning duties as assigned by your Supervisor and as listed on the weekly special cleaning log.
  • Sweep and mop floors daily.
  • Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Part-Time (20 hours)
