Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the accurate picking, packing, shipping and stocking of product to ensure company standards of safety, security and productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Shipping: Efficiently picks customer orders and transfers, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is pulled. Check orders pulled by other associates for Quality Control. Accurately pack orders in such a manner that they arrive to customers without damage after shipping. Properly label shipping cartons/reels with correct address, COD information, shipping/pro labels, site information and carton count information as needed. Accurately complete freight bill of lading with carton count and dimensions. Assist in loading of trucks when needed.
  • Receiving: Properly receive purchase orders into system while evaluating quantity and quality of the product. Resolve with buyers any discrepancies with the purchase orders. Put up merchandise on shelving racks after it has been received into inventory by receiving team. Rearrange product as necessary to accommodate increased stocking levels, oversize cartons, etc.
  • Cycle Counting and Stock Rotations: Help conduct cycle count inventories and pull stock rotations from shelves as necessary.
  • Equipment: Operate forklift in performance of order filling and stocking duties when required. Operate any other material handling and cable processing equipment safely and efficiently as required. Assist in maintenance of equipment as required.
  • Miscellaneous: Help with clean-up and trash removal, corrugated recycling, sweeping and product straightening on shelves. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required by management.


Qualifications

Warehouse experience of 2 years or more. Data Center experience a plus. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - High school diploma and two years previous warehouse experience is required. Experience using a RF scanner, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and J.D. Edwards is an asset. Experience in solder installation and crimping and the ability to read drawings for installation instructions and special requirements would be an asset as well.
