Compensation: Hourly or Salaried position. $45.00-$55.00 plus per hour based on experience; or salary of $120,000-$140,000 per year. Additional annual bonus.


Job Description


We are seeking a licensed Mechanical Professional Engineer (P.E.) to lead the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment. This role is responsible for engineering analysis, stamped drawings and technical oversight from concept through installation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound engineering judgment and the ability to take ownership of projects in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.


Role and Responsibilities




  • Lead mechanical design of systems, equipment and components from concept through production and installation



  • Prepare, review and seal engineering drawings, calculations and technical documents as required



  • Perform engineering analysis to ensure safety, reliability and code compliance



  • Develop detailed drawings, specifications and bills of materials using 3D CAD software



  • Review customer requirements and applicable codes and standards



  • Provide technical oversight and mentoring to junior engineers and designers



  • Support manufacturing, field installation and commissioning efforts



  • Conduct design reviews and resolve technical issues



  • Collaborate with project managers to support schedules, budgets and scope



  • Interface with customers, inspectors and regulatory agencies as needed




Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering


  • Active Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio

  • 10+ years of progressive mechanical design experience



  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar)



  • Strong understanding of applicable mechanical codes and standards



  • Experience performing and documenting engineering calculations



  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes



  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
