Position Overview


The Transportation Analyst will coordinate with transportation companies the delivery of bananas, to ensure an accurate and timely delivery of the fruit along the logistics chain, under the quality and safety standards established by the company.



Major Duties and Responsibilities





    • Direct contact for carriers with respect to Order Notification, Order Changes, Cancellations, Delayed Loads, Problem Loads, Rejections, Overweight's and Accidents to maintain a good relationship with them and ensure the timely arrival of the product.



    • Liaison between Carriers, Ports, Sales, Product Manager and Director or Transportation. Work with all regarding product availability and transportation issues.









    • Process freight bills and resolve invoice discrepancies of the carriers, to ensure the correct collection and payment to the carriers. Maintain and update files on all freight payables.









    • Prepare and distribute reports, to ensure the availability of necessary and timely information related to the fruit sent to the different ports.









    • Maintain all files, transportation documents and reports in an organized manner and create and update Western Division Rate and Freight Differential spreadsheets.









    • Work with District Managers on customer service/freight related issues for loads out of all 3 Ports, to solve all issues and provide excellent customer service.



    • Train other Transportation Divisions in AutoPay (payable system), to comply with their requirements.







Qualifications and Experience





    • Associate's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or a related field.
    • 1 -3 years of related experience
    • Strong knowledge of D365, Mainsail, One World, Tranship, and 3rd-party vessel websites
    • Understanding of port procedures
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
    • Effective written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
    • Occasional travel required.
