What you'll do:



  • As a Program Specialist, you'll be responsible for coordinating staff activities, department program and day-to-day oversight of the operational and administrative functions of the program to enhance and improve departmental workflows and programs.
  • Create timely reports for department and other key stakeholders and communication with both internal and external contacts, providing service to resolve complaints, maintain relationships, handle meetings or deal with similar sensitive relations.
  • Provides assistance and support to the department leadership and support staff.
  • Assists with strategic projects/programs and events related to the department's initiatives.
  • Contributes to department programs and initiatives.
  • Create and manage communications related to the department project/program activities.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels within Johns Hopkins Medicine on project/program activities.


What you'll have to be successful:



  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience. One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and project scheduling skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication necessary to interface with various levels of management.


Salary Range: Minimum 26.51/hour - Maximum 43.76/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
