We are seeking a Pattern Engineer for a 9-month hybrid engagement in Beaverton, OR. Candidates must have 5+ YOE as a Technical designer in pattern making or adjusting patterns. In this role, you will be the architect behind the garments, transforming creative visions into tangible, high-performance apparel that athletes depend on. Your precision and expertise in pattern development will directly influence the fit, function, and overall success of cutting-edge athletic wear, making a significant impact on product quality and athlete experience.

You will play a crucial role in the development process, acting as the bridge between conceptual design and physical product. Your expertise will ensure that every garment not only looks exceptional but also performs flawlessly, providing unparalleled comfort and support for athletes. This is a hands-on technical position focused on the intricate art and science of garment construction and fit.

Responsibilities



  • Translate designer sketches and concepts into precise, production-ready technical patterns.
  • Develop new patterns from scratch and meticulously adjust existing patterns to optimize fit, function, and performance for athletic apparel.
  • Conduct thorough fit assessments and make necessary pattern modifications to achieve desired garment construction and drape.
  • Create comprehensive technical drawings and documentation that guide the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate closely with design teams, ensuring technical feasibility and maintaining design intent throughout development.
  • Represent the brand's commitment to quality and performance, potentially engaging with end-users to understand their needs.


Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Designer specializing in pattern making and pattern adjustment.
  • Proven ability to both create patterns from initial concepts and refine existing patterns for high-performance athletic wear.
  • Deep knowledge of garment construction techniques, with a strong emphasis on knits (experience with wovens is also valuable).
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing your experience, pattern knowledge, relevant work, and the complexity of your pattern design skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for fit and proportion. * Ability to effectively communicate technical specifications and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Direct experience with performance wear development is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience in creating patterns for outerwear, dresses, and skirts is a nice-to-have.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) or similar record-keeping tools for tracking changes and documentation is a nice-to-have.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43.20 to $48.00 per hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location
