Job Overview: Primary function is to improve on-time delivery and customer satisfaction by reviewing various reports to identify potential delays or system issues in orders that would prevent them from processing on time. Works with Purchasing, Planning, Customer Service and other departments as needed to collect information and/or troubleshoot system issues. Also provides status updates to Customer Service regarding delays or other issues so customers can be notified proactively.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes system data pertaining to demand, inbound purchase orders, production orders, open delivery reports, and more to identify if/which delays will impact specific sales orders.
- Ensure orders are dated correctly and collaborate findings with Customer Service for corrections.
- Collaborates with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, etc. to resolve delays and/or reduce the impact of the delay.
- Reviews daily orders due report and troubleshoots why sales orders are not issuing a delivery for shipment.
- Analyzes orders shipped past due to determine reason for delayed shipment. Report out findings and collaborate with departments to determine resolution.
- Assisting within other areas if/as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ year experience of Purchasing, Logistics or Inventory Control
Core Competencies:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to exert critical thinking skills.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software (ex. SAP); Order processing systems; Excel and Word Processing software; and basic proficiency in cloud based analytic software (ex. Qlik).
Preferences:
- Fluent use of Microsoft Office products and other general office machines, such as fax, copier, etc.
- Experience with SAP, MRP/ERP processes.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
This position will be based at our site in Ocala, FL no travel.
