Torch Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Human Factors Engineer to support the Design, Test, and Analysis Human Factors and Human Machine Interfaces to support the user assessments and user design assessments on existing and future DoW platforms and systems.

As a Mid-Level Human Factors Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • The selected candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, work with human users, and support the develop analysis, reports, and recommendations to support requirements and Technical, Tactics, and Practices development.
  • The selected candidate will support government leads and project office representatives to define assessment objectives, develop approaches, and collect data in accordance with all human safety and test regulations and requirements.
  • Responsible for finalizing project deliverables and writing of technical reports.
  • Designs experiments and usability testing, oversees data collection and analysis of behavioral data.
  • Participates in overall project management.

Job Requirements:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Psychology with an emphasis on Human Factors or a related field of study. A Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years experience in same disciplines.
  • Previous work experience in this field can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 6+ years experience developing and analyzing Human Machine Interfaces.
  • Supporting and conducting studies in human/machine interaction, equipment/facilities design, environmental design, and human performance assessment.
  • Experience finalizing project deliverables and writing of technical reports.
  • Experience with designs experiments and usability testing, oversees data collection and analysis of behavioral data.
  • Knowledge of human cognition, including serial and parallel processing, visual perception, attention allocation, and reaction time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
