Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Position Summary

The Program Assistant provides primary operational and administrative support for the Nexus for Faculty Success, while also contributing to daily activities within the Office of Academic Planning and Innovation Support. The position additionally supports Academic Affairs through periodic projects and initiatives aligned with institutional priorities. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to balance responsibilities across multiple academic units.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

The Division of Academic and Faculty Affairs (AFA) at Rosalind Franklin University develops and implements quality initiatives and systematic practices that support academic programs. We sponsor activities for the University community, collaborate with university stakeholders, promote educational excellence, and support teaching and learning by developing an innovative and engaging student-centered learning experience. AFA shares responsibility for the university's effective academic governance with the University faculty, the deans, the Provost, and the President.

The Division of Academic and Faculty Affairs is a partner and resource to faculty and staff across the university. Units within AFA include Academic Affairs, Academic Planning and Innovation Support, Academic Policy and Regulatory Affairs, Boxer Library, Faculty Affairs, Online Learning and Instructional Design (OLID), and the Nexus for Faculty Success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and distribute communications for Nexus for Faculty Success programs and initiatives, including email campaigns and Constant Contact messaging.

  • Coordinate and manage registration processes for all Nexus programs and events.

  • Maintain and update the Nexus program database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.

  • Program, administer, and manage surveys for Nexus initiatives using platforms such as Qualtrics or Google Forms.

  • Collaborate with team members to support the planning and implementation of Nexus for Faculty Success initiatives.

  • Partner with Marketing to develop and coordinate communications for targeted programs and initiatives.

  • Provide daily scheduling support related to RFU academic programs and university events using Qualtrics and Google Sheets.

  • Provide periodic administrative and project support to Academic Affairs initiatives. Assist with special projects, reports, or accreditation-related activities as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

Required Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years of administrative, program coordination, or office support experience


Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Experience coordinating schedules, meetings, and events

  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience drafting emails, announcements, and routine correspondence Professional customer service skills for working with faculty, staff, and students

  • Familiarity with email marketing systems and Qualtrics.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

  • Experience using databases or tracking systems

  • Comfortable learning new systems and platforms

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • Experience in a higher education, academic, or professional office.
