The Role

Amphenol Military High Speed is seeking aBuyerto work out of its new facility inEndicott, NY.

The key responsibilities of thisBuyerinclude, but are not limited to:



  • Develop sourcing strategies to improve price, delivery and quality
  • Develop global suppliers with the collaboration of sourcing engineers
  • Analyze supplier proposals to determine the best source of supply
  • Review Material Requirements Plan in support of production requirements
  • Implement and manage consignment, kanban and purchase agreements
  • Negotiate and implement cost savings to meet operational targets
  • Continuously evaluate supply base performance and implement improvement counter measures
  • Collaborate with planning, quality, marketing and engineering functions
  • Conduct make v. buy decisions to ensure outsourcing is competitive and adheres to production requirements
  • Support department small business administration objectives

Salary:$62,534 - $80,000

The Person

The key skills and qualities of aBuyerat Amphenol Military High Speed:



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of MRP, preferably AS400
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, adept at both oral and written communications
  • Confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer usage
  • Travel, 5-10% , both domestic and international travel to supplier locations
  • Compliance with all purchasing procedures and policies
