Overview This role leads enterprise data integration to ensure data from core business systems flows securely and reliably into analytics and AI platforms as well as other systems. The position aligns integration solutions with enterprise target architectures, manages a team responsible for delivery, quality, governance, and vendor coordination, and provides technical direction for short- and long-term IT strategy. Acting as a thought leader, the role partners with Enterprise Data and Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, application owners, and business teams to modernize integration capabilities, support data driven use cases, and ensure data integration enables the company's analytics, AI, and broader technology vision.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of the Data Distribution Hub, including architecture design, migration, deployment, and ongoing operational support, using Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle Data Integrator
- Evolve and improve Data Distribution Hub integration frameworks, components, and processes to support enterprise analytics and AI delivery goals
- Ensure all data integration solutions align with enterprise target architectures defined by the Enterprise Architecture team
- Oversee data integration project delivery, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and cross team coordination with IT, business units, and platform administrators
- Partner with data owners, application teams, and Enterprise Data and Analytics to ensure reliable, interoperable data flows that meet analytics and AI requirements
- Drive efficiency improvements through integration reuse, process optimization, performance tuning, and cost management using Oracle analytics and monitoring capabilities
- Manage the full software development life cycle for data integration solutions, including design standards, build, testing, migration, and production support
- Own financial management for the data integration program, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, vendor contracts, procurement, invoice approvals, and cost benefit analysis for scope changes
- Lead project planning and governance in collaboration with Enterprise Data and Analytics leadership and the Con Edison PMO, maintaining roadmaps, phased milestones, critical paths, and formal change control
- Define and enforce quality assurance standards, including test strategies for unit, integration, UAT, and performance testing, while coordinating defect management, audits, and production readiness reviews with QA teams
- Lead and develop a team of managers through coaching, performance management, and effective work assignment to drive aligned execution and business outcomes
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Master's Degree and a minimum of 6 years full-time relevant work experience or
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years full-time relevant work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, computer science, business administration, engineering or decision sciences including mathematics, analytics, quantitative methods or another aligned field and a minimum of 8 years full-time relevant work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
- Proven track record delivering data integration projects on time and within budget using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies, preferred
- Solid understanding of data integration and cloud architecture leading to reliable, maintainable, reusable, scalable and extensible solutions, including experience designing Oracle-based data integration deployments and architectures, preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication, including creating executive-ready PowerPoint presentations to explain data integration solutions, roadmaps, and value cases. Able to communicate technical Oracle integration concepts to non-technical audiences and gain buy-in for new processes and patterns, preferred
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to influence stakeholders around data integration standards and Oracle integration best practices, including listening, acting on feedback, exploring solution alternatives, and building strong business and IT relationships. Shows high energy and passion for improving customer and user experience via data integration, preferred
- Experience managing, coaching, and developing integration teams delivering data integrations, including code/design reviews, guidance on SDLC/Agile practices, and mentoring junior data integration developers, preferred
- Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and reliability mechanisms for data integrations (e.g., process reporting, logs, dashboards, and alerts) and integrating data processes with enterprise observability tools and practices, preferred
- Ability to motivate, challenge, and develop staff who are delivering data integration initiatives, fostering a culture of quality, reusability, and continuous improvement, preferred
- Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, environment cutovers, and resolution of production integration incidents or corporate emergencies, required
- Manage projects and workstreams including resources, scope, budget (costs), schedule, and overall plans for data integration and modernization programs, preferred
- Experience identifying and vetting data integration and iPaaS vendors or complementary tools, including RFP creation, vendor research, and proposal evaluation, as well as planning for related technology upgrades and obsolescence management, preferred
