Department: WCAS Molecular Biosciences Salary/Grade: EXS/5 Job Summary The Department of Molecular Biosciences seeks a highly motivated Program Coordinator to support a prestigious training grant and collaborate with a dynamic community of faculty and graduate students. This position is eligible for remote work; more information will be discussed during the interview. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $53,000 - $65,000 per year. The salary offered will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Overview of Responsibilities
Administration: The position oversees daytoday operations to ensure they are efficient, effective, and aligned with the mission, values, and policies of the program. Responsibilities include maintaining and reporting on both quantitative and qualitative performance measures, as well as identifying opportunities to enhance services and improve the program's ability to meet its goals. Communication, Outreach & Evaluation: This role leads cohesive marketing and branding efforts to elevate program visibility, including the development of a modern, engaging website and the strategic use of social media and digital tools. It builds strong campus partnerships to create a network of invested collaborators. The position also oversees data collection, analysis, and reporting for surveys, reviews, and public documents. Feedback from instructors, students, and participants is used to understand program strengths, identify opportunities for growth, and shape strategies that drive future engagement and participation. Events & Programming: The role manages a wide range of events, including workshops, meetings, and educational sessions, from initial planning through full execution. Responsibilities include coordinating speakers, agendas, communication, venues, travel arrangements, materials, refreshments, and technology to ensure that each event is wellorganized and aligned with program goals. Grants & Contracts and Regulatory Compliance: This position supports faculty and graduate students in preparing grant proposals by providing administrative guidance, including assistance with budgets and justifications, and ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements. Responsibilities include preparing necessary documentation and serving as a point of contact for accreditation bodies. Miscellaneous: Additional duties are performed as assigned to support the overall success and smooth functioning of the program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, accounting, or a related field) OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (such as 3 years of program administration experience).
Preferred Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience with event planning or higher education administration.
- Ability to track multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Familiarity with various software programs and a willingness to learn new systems (including sponsor-site submission portals).
