Associate Patient Care Technician - Emergency

Description

Associate PCT (Patient Care Tech) in our Emergency unit at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA. Positions available may include Part-Time Days or Full-Time Nights. All shifts will work 12-hours. Details of available positions will be discussed if an interview is scheduled.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, and Department Manager, provides care to the Emergency Department or Critical Care patient.

Required Qualifications:

• Required:
• Completion of 1 clinical semester of nursing school OR
• 1 year as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Corpsman in the Armed Services, PCT, OR
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in an acute hospital setting, sub-acute long term care setting or outpatient/home health setting.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Within 90 days of hire Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - provided by St. Joseph Hospital

Preferred Qualification:

• 2 years of Experience working in an emergency department as an EMT or CNA.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
