The Data Movement infrastructure engineering team is responsible for providing stable, secure, and automated data movement platforms for the enterprise to use in application deployments. This includes key data movement technologies like informatica PowerCenter, power exchange, AWS Glue,AWS DMS, Qlik and others. As an engineer within the team, you will leverage your knowledge to build solutions which will improve our platforms and their capabilities.

While your knowledge and skillsets will focus on Data Movement tools, you will need to have a strong understanding of development and engineering, including the tools for implementing infrastructure as code, monitoring and alerting, and security. To properly support the priorities and overall vision of the enterprise, you will need to be able to help define long-term strategies and objectives within our on-prem and cloud data integration environment which fit into the overall enterprise vision. Your ability to work as a collaborative team-member and lead through ambiguity will be critical to a successful delivery. A willingness to relentlessly learn and improve yourself, and those around you, is an important part of the position.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understands and supports Cloud-based applications
  • Applies engineering standard methodologies to analyze and develop software solutions
  • Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles
  • Leverages established coding standards, best practices, and automation capabilities to develop solutions to support our users
  • Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Related school coursework
  • Understanding of Python programming and scripting (or another language, with an interest in learning Python)
  • Understanding of using Git to manage source code
  • Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and how to apply it with services such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or Circle CI
  • Apply engineering standard methodologies to analyze and develop software solutions
  • Leverages established coding standards, best practices, and automation capabilities to develop solutions to support our users
  • Identify technical problems and develop software solutions and automation capabilities
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity how public cloud services work and how different cloud services work together
  • Familiarity with Docker and how containers work and can be used
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and other container orchestration systems
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts and how networking works in the cloud
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

$114,270.00

Structure 110:

$67,690.00 USD - $125,710.00 USD

Structure 115:

$70,770.00 USD - $131,430.00 USD
