Posting Summary
A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr. Gliniak in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. The ideal Candidate will have strong communication skills, a publication record consistent with career level, and an interest in understanding the role of adipose tissue biology and inflammatory bowel disease. Proficiency in oral and written English is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with NIH and Rutgers guidelines. Rutgers University is one of the largest research universities and has outstanding resources and facilities that support state-of-the-art research. Our research team has access to outstanding facilities of Genomics, Genetics, Proteomics, Confocal and high-content imaging, Histopathology, Analytical Chemistry, Flow Cytometry, etc. The position is based in the Gliniak lab, an interdisciplinary and energetic research group housed on the Cook campus in New Brunswick, NJ. As a postdoctoral associate, the candidate would have abundant opportunities to interact with members of the Departments of Nutritional Sciences, Food Sciences, and the Institute for Food Nutrition and Health. Rutgers University provides an excellent career development and training environment for postdoc researchers. The campus is also near the cultural and scientific offerings of both NYC and Philadelphia.

Qualifications






Minimum Education and Experience
A PhD degree in a relevant area of sciences, such as Nutritional Sciences, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology/Physiology, Biochemical Nutrition, is required. Proficiency in written and oral English and computer literacy with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience and willingness to handle and breed mice are required.
Detail-oriented and utilize techniques such as flow cytometry and single-cell RNA sequencing.
Must have a car and be willing to drive to other campuses if required for the project.
