Safety and Training Specialist

Pay: $30 - $34 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift

Requirements

2 years of experience | A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, management, or manufacturing | Progressive safety experience working within food, pharma, confectionary, or nutraceuticals manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Investigate workplace incidents and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS and workers' compensation records; assist with administrative needs across locations.
• Conduct and track monthly, quarterly, and annual safety training, including new hire orientations.
• Perform regular facility inspections to identify and resolve safety hazards.
• Enforce Lockout/Tagout procedures and support ergonomic evaluations and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Partner with HR to manage workers' compensation cases, employee accommodations, and medical follow-ups.
• Recommend and implement safety improvements and equipment to reduce workplace risks.
