POSITION TITLE: Summer 2026 Intern - Sales Strategy and Operations,

POSSIBLE LOCATION OPTION(S): Chicago

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Our mission is to help organizations change and innovate faster by making it easy to connect the world's applications, data, and devices. Companies like Spotify, McDonald's, and Unilever rely on our MuleSoft, Platform, and Informatica products to stay agile, deliver faster, and make the most of their IT investment with API-led connectivity. Hiring exceptional people who want to build a great company together is our #1 priority, and we're committed to providing an equal opportunity workplace where everyone is supported and inspired to do their best work.

TEAM DESCRIPTION:
The Sales Strategy team is the driving force behind operational, strategic, and tactical execution for the business. We are trusted strategic advisors that partner with our Sales Leaders to execute strategic initiatives, build business cases, and drive revenue growth. Our team deploys a mix of strategy, operations, and analytics to deliver exceptional service to our business partners with focus on fostering growth, enhancing productivity, and driving profitability. We sit at the intersection of the most pressing issues for the business and serve as "strategic coaches" to our Sales Leaders. We support the Sales teams in setting the right goals and ensuring they have the tools to achieve them. The pace and environment feel more like a start-up than a big corporation. Our team includes a diverse mix of consulting, finance, STEM, and tech backgrounds. We strongly believe diversity in background and thought is crucial to our team's success. We are looking for someone who is data-driven, naturally curious, and eager to work on innovative solutions to challenging business problems.

A successful candidate will have a relentless curiosity and a passion for creating innovative analysis, and the flexibility to identify and execute on opportunities. An ideal candidate will also be comfortable working with sales stakeholders, must be a team player, able to manage multiple priorities, and deal with ambiguity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
You will help drive the continued success of our Sales Leaders by supporting our growth strategy, making data-driven decisions to support the business, and building strong cross-functional partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You are a current Junior (rising Senior) pursuing a Bachelor's degree (graduating December 2026 or Spring 2027); Business, Economics or STEM backgrounds are a plus but not required
  • You are a self-starter and have a bias towards ownership and action (i.e., going beyond the task at hand)
  • You are solutions-oriented and passionate about solving problems using data
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and will enjoy working collaboratively with other teams
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills
  • PowerPoint / Google slide presentation building skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapid change environment
  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up paced environment
  • Complex and creative problem-solving ability
  • A team player, with a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver excellence
  • Intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and driven to make an impact on the business
NICE-TO-HAVE, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
  • Previous internship experience a plus
  • SQL experience a plus
  • Experience with data visualization (e.g., Tableau) a plus
