As a Security Officer - Flex Unarmed Rover in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, employees, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, visitor authorization, and/or delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor and document vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including trucks, trailers, and shipments entering and exiting the property, and report irregularities per site policy.
  • Perform screening and observation for prohibited items and/or unusual behavior consistent with post instructions and applicable site requirements.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, access control, intercoms, and alarm panels, and report malfunctions and/or concerns promptly.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes with accurate, timely details.
  • Support emergency procedures including evacuations, severe weather actions, and/or medical response by assisting with scene control and communications until relieved.
  • Maintain a visible presence while patrolling to provide direction, answer questions, and assist with routine requests from site personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have Security Experience - 1+ Years.
  • Be Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
