As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, assist with access control and incident reporting, and respond to concerns with a calm, customer-service mindset. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disruptions, suspicious activity, and access concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, common spaces, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor credentials when required, and directing guests to appropriate destinations per site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and report irregular conditions according to post orders and escalation guidelines.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and patrol activities using written reports and/or electronic reporting tools in a timely manner.
  • Assist with de-escalation of conflicts and provide directions and support during heightened situations, requesting additional resources when needed.
  • Support emergency and non-emergency response activities such as evacuations, fire panel activations, and facility lockdown procedures as directed by site policy and local authorities.
  • Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership, site representatives, and first responders to coordinate incident response and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain a professional presence and appearance while performing walking and standing duties in varying indoor and outdoor conditions depending on assignment area.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
