Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a food and beverage location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to issues with clear communication and strong customer service while supporting a caring, integrity-driven team. This post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Maintain a visible armed presence while following Allied Universal post orders, use of force guidelines, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Control access at gates and/or designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing deliveries to approved receiving locations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems when assigned, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, trespassing, property damage, and medical and/or fire-related events.
  • Assist with emergency response activities such as evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and accountability support, and coordinate with site management and responding public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct routine checks of doors, docks, and secured areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and support protection of product, equipment, and facilities.
  • Document patrols, observations, and incidents in written reports and logs, including details required for follow-up and/or investigations.
  • Provide traffic and pedestrian direction during shift changes, deliveries, and special site activities when needed.
  • Interact professionally with employees, contractors, and drivers, resolving minor concerns when possible and escalating issues through the chain of command.
  • Maintain assigned equipment in serviceable condition, including communication devices and any issued duty gear, and report deficiencies to supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
