As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Site - Full Time in Temple, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support staff and guests with customer service while documenting observations and reporting issues promptly. At Allied Universal, you will work as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Carry a firearm and related equipment in accordance with all Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws; maintain required certifications and qualifications.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including potential disturbances, suspected theft, and medical situations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter as assigned.
• Monitor for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter theft and/or property damage; promptly report concerns to site leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Control access points and monitor foot and vehicle traffic to support orderly movement in and around the location.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems and equipment such as radios, cameras, and alarms, and respond to activations per site procedures.
• Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation with clear, accurate details.
• Provide professional communication and de-escalation when interacting with customers, employees, and persons involved in an incident.
• Support local emergency responders and/or law enforcement during on-site events by providing observations, directions, and scene information per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license preferred.
• Possess CPR certification preferred.
• Possess handcuffing certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
