As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol Driver in Lathrop, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and detailed reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify Allied Universal management and/or site contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, yards and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying authorization, directing visitors and/or contractors, and maintaining visitor logs per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras and/or access control systems when assigned, and take appropriate action based on site procedures.
  • Complete routine inspections of doors, gates, loading dock areas, tool and equipment storage areas and/or other designated zones, and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, patrols, observations and/or policy violations in written reports and activity logs, and participate in required shift briefings.
  • Support emergency and non-emergency response activities such as evacuations, severe weather procedures and/or fire panel alerts as directed by site policy.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, drivers, contractors and visitors, providing directions and assistance while maintaining post orders.
  • Operate Allied Universal and/or client-provided communication equipment and maintain readiness of assigned post supplies and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
