As a Security Officer - Utility Site Patrol - Full Time in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location where reliability matters. You will patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, document observations using a computer and/or tablet, and respond to security-related concerns with strong customer service and clear communication. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including utility operations disruptions, equipment alarms, and/or access control concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help manage entry for authorized personnel and vehicles, verifying credentials and/or authorizations in accordance with site requirements.
- Perform security-related checks of gates, doors, and restricted areas, reporting unsecured conditions and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, including loitering, trespassing, and/or attempted entry into controlled areas.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and communications equipment, and report malfunctions and/or activations per post orders.
- Document patrols, incidents, and noteworthy observations in written reports and/or electronic logs with accurate, timely, and detailed information.
- Provide directions and general assistance while maintaining a professional presence and de-escalating conflicts when needed.
- Communicate with site personnel, supervisors, and/or local responders as directed during incidents, outages, and/or other critical events.
- Support site-specific traffic control and/or parking management during peak activity periods, deliveries, and/or special operations.
- Follow Allied Universal and client site policies, including reporting procedures, confidentiality expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements for utility locations.
Minimum Requirements: - - Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- - Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- - Be 21 years of age and older.
- - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- - Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
