As an Access Control Officer at an automotive manufacturing location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and employee traffic, and document activity using computer and/or tablet systems while supporting a security-related presence. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Control access to an automotive manufacturing and/or distribution location by screening employees, contractors and visitors, verifying authorization and directing individuals to the proper area.
• Operate and monitor access control systems, visitor management tools, radios and phones to support security-related communications and site operations.
• Issue, track and recover badges, keys and/or access credentials in accordance with site-specific policies, and report irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform entry point screening such as vehicle checks, delivery verification and/or package inspections as required by site policy while maintaining professional customer service.
• Maintain logs and complete reports on access activity, incidents, unusual conditions and/or policy violations, and escalate concerns through the chain of command.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or restricted-area access by maintaining a visible presence at entrances, gates and/or checkpoints and following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
