Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hotel Parking Patrol in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents while supporting guests and staff. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and use a computer or tablet as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest concerns, disturbances, medical calls, and fire or weather-related alarms, and escalate to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas such as lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points, noting unusual conditions and helping to identify potential risks.
  • Monitor access points and help manage visitor flow by observing entry and exit activity, checking credentials or authorization when required, and directing guests to appropriate locations.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident reports, documenting observations, actions taken, and follow-up needs in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.
  • Help to maintain order in guest-facing areas by providing a professional presence, offering assistance with directions and general information, and addressing minor issues before they escalate.
  • Observe and report hazards and maintenance concerns such as lighting outages, unsecured doors, damaged locks, and obstructed egress routes to appropriate personnel for correction.
  • Support security-related operations during special events and high-traffic periods by assisting with crowd management, queue control, and coordination with location staff.
  • Operate communications equipment and/or security-related systems as assigned, including radios, keys, access logs, and alarm panels, following location procedures.
  • Interact with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when requested, helping to provide incident details and support scene coordination within assigned areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • - A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
